Clean, stocked and ready to go...errr... Kind of...

Well its been another month since my last posting and I don't even feel bad about it. Life has been sooo crazy here, for the O'Neill family! It all started with a smoke smell in our apartment. I had started smelling hints of cigarette smoke in our apartment a few weeks before we left for the beach. It wasn't super strong and I only smelled it sometimes so I figured it was just the neighbors and I tried airing out the place. When we first arrived at the beach and I opened up my luggage, I was surprised to find that my whole suitcase and all my clothes inside smelled like cigarettes! For two non-smokers, one with asthma and one being pregnant, I grew a little concerned.
Well, as time went on the smell became much stronger and people (without me saying anything about it first) were even noticing on their own. We spoke with the management here at the apartment complex and they assured us they would try to figure out a solution. Long story short, we ended up moving apartment units. We think we weren't able to smell the smoke at first at the old unit because it had fresh paint and new carpet and thats what we smelled. I still wonder how it now smells so strong compared to being able to hardly smell it weeks ago, but I am thankful we are out of it.
The management here was gracious enough to give us an entire week to complete the move which was a huge blessing since we didn't have much help! Usually Ben and Johnny, Danny's brothers, would have been available to help but Johnny had a boot and was on crutches with a broken foot and Ben was out of the country for World Youth Day. Perfect, I thought, how are we going to be able to do this, alone? This was the week of Kathleen's (Danny's sister). I was a bridesmaid and was trying to help with last minute details and I was supposed to be in Covington, KY by Thursday at noon. This gave us Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to move all of our just-set-up-apartment from one unit to another. And Danny was working full time and I ... well, I'm pretty pregnant at this point haha. We ended hiring movers and getting it all moved... by the grace of God!
My favorite picture of the wedding

The wedding weekend went smoothly and we had a blast. The ceremony was a beautiful testament to Christ's love for the church and I was honored to be a apart of it. Also, I was able to spend a good amount of time with Sabra, my friend that is due with her little girl 2 days after me. It was so good to share our experiences and have a pregnant dance buddy :)

With the bellies! (all 4 of us) :)

After the wedding, one of my best friends, Jess, came back to Evansville with Danny and I. It was perfect timing since our new apartment was in utter chaos after moving. She stayed until early Friday morning. She was such huge a help getting everything put away put together and Danny and I loved having her!

As of Friday afternoon, I can now say that our home is finished and clean - nursery and all. At 37 weeks I can't tell you what a huge relief that is, especially when at the beginning of last week our belongings were in disarray and I was anxious about traveling to my sister-in-law's wedding. I remember months ago when Danny and I were still in Wheeling, WV and Danny and I had no idea where we would be for the birth of our daughter. I was so worried, but I remember my mom saying to something to me that I hope I remember every time I start to worry about uncertainties. I had told her that I had told Danny something along the lines of "I can't have my baby in this house, in this area!". She responded by reminding me that Mary had Jesus in nothing more than a cave. Yikes... What a harsh reminder that my "problems" seem so small in comparison. With God's grace I was able to give all my worry and concern to him. The beautiful thing is that he didn't have to give us this nice new job and apartment in Evansville... but... he did. :)
Now the only thing left is for Danny and I to get over these OBNOXIOUS colds! Talk about horrible timing! I started feeling sick around last Monday or Tuesday. My doctor said Stella should be fine but just to keep an eye out for signs of infection. By Sunday I felt a sinus infection coming on so I called the doctor and she had an antibiotic prescription called in for me. I should finish with them tomorrow and I'm feeling much better! Danny, on the other hand, is a little behind in the cycle. He sounds pretty terrible. I'm just praying we are well by the time this baby is ready to come!

Pics of the nursery coming soon! :)
