25 Weeks and the Beginning of a New Journey

This week baby girl is around the size of a whole cauliflower measuring somewhere between 13.6-14.8 inches long and weighing between 1.5 - 2.2lbs! Soooo... the other 10lbs are just me, huh? (Dang it) haha. Anyway, she is doing well as far as we can tell! Her favorite time to be awake is right when I lie down to sleep at nights... isn't that sweet? She is already being thoughtful by getting me used to lack of sleep. :)

Well, as the post title mentioned, our family is starting a new journey.
We are packing up (yet again) to hit the road! It all started Wednesday night. I think I've posted before about how we had really been wanting to be hired by the same company that Ben, my brother-in-law, is working for in Evansville, Indiana. Danny had been contacted around three weeks  ago by the hiring manager over there and had told Danny they would be hiring 30 days from then and that he is "next on the list" to hire. Danny had his cell phone number and was pretty confident that this was really going to happen this time! Welllll, Wednesday we got word that he had quit. The hiring manager that Danny had spoken to/connected with left the company and the new guy had been said to have been "handed 10 resumes all at once" immediately upon hiring. Apparently, there are several people wanting to get their friends and family hired on other than Ben. I was very discouraged. Our lease to our apartment in Knoxville is up next month and we were hoping to hear good news about Evansville before we have to move all of our stuff. Otherwise, we were just going to find a place in the Pittsburgh, Washington (PA), or Wheeling area that is central to several different counties hoping and praying that we could have work at least somewhere near there. This was not our first option since up here we are further from my family and the work isn't long term. When I heard that the hiring manager Danny knew was gone, I felt as if so was our chance to work there. I just felt like we had been told so many times that "soon" they'll need more people and they'll call us. Frustrated, I feared that maybe it wasn't working out because it wasn't what God had for us. "Maybe we just  need to find a place here", I said to Danny. I was ready to just take things into my own hands and just find a place. I was done waiting around. That night I searched online for houses and apartments online for HOURS and I wasn't seeing anything that we had in mind. I felt defeated. That night Danny and I decided we needed a change. We were ready to get out of the house in Wheeling as it is a really old house and was just seeming musty and too much upkeep - even as renters. So, we decided we'd just pack everything up and move closer to Pittsburgh and stay in a Residence Inn with an outdoor pool. So we did. Thursday I spent all day packing up all our crap and cleaning. I talked with my mom about everything. She was so encouraging. We talked about prayer and I decided that I would start praying for God's will and admitted that I don't know what that is or what is best for my family the way he does. I gave up trying and decided (well, RE-decided...again) to give it all up and just wait patiently on the Lord. Danny and I discussed it too. He told me he wants us to enjoy the time we have now and not just keep looking forward to what lies ahead... Such a smart man. :)

Friday morning we were officially out and on our way to PA. We had light hearts and peace. We made a stop in Washington, PA on the way because Danny needed to run in to the courthouse to get a couple documents. It was there, on our way to Pittsburgh with both cars packed full of all our stuff (besides furniture
and stuff still in Knoxville), that we got a text from Ben saying "Had a big meeting this morning. The Project Manager, Crew Chief  lead Landman and myself... Can ya'll drive out here Monday?". Within a half hour Danny had spoken to his new boss, his current/old boss, and made plans to leave Pittsburgh Sunday! It was really funny how it all happened  We couldn't have been in a better position to leave. In fact, at one point Ben sent a text that said "Start packin!". All I sent in reply was two pictures of our car completely packed.

So here we go... tomorrow we drive to Evansville, IN for Danny's new job. I have already begun the apartment search and been researching the hospitals/OB's in the area so I can switch. Well keep ya'll undated with other details as we know them.

As for now... we'll enjoy our one day in Pittsburgh. :)

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us!
